Warehouse Forklift Material Handler

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full Time Material Handlers in Morris, Illinois

Hourly Pay $21.75 per hour with additional shift pay and incentives up to $2.75 per hour.

Schedule:

Night Shift Sunday – Wednesday 5:00 pm – 3:30 am.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, with excellent attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative
• High level of accuracy even under pressure
• Can lift/push/pull up to 35 lb and stand for long periods
• Works safely and follows health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule for various shifts

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shifts
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines and perform additional duties as assigned
