Title: Senior Accountant (Hybrid)
Location: Morristown, NJ
Salary: – $90-105k plus bonus
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote WFH
Client is seeking a Big 4 or top Regional Public Accountant for a Senior Accountant role offering a mix of accounting and finance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of public accounting experience in any industry.
Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L)
- Assist with month-end close processes/tasks
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations
- Verify daily bank and brokerage account cash activities and prepare wire transfers as needed
- Collaborate with tax department to ensure filings and reporting requirements are met
- Assist in identifying potentially fraudulent activity
- Collaborate with tax department to ensure timely compliance with tax filings and tax payments
- Interact with external auditors and third party service providers
- Perform special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting or Management Company
- Superior organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills.
- Process-driven and proactive with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and superior ability to focus.
- Agile ability to manage multiple tasks, systems, and processes while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Quick Books a plus but not required
