Sr Accountant, Technical Accounting & External Reporting

Overview

Leading publicly traded client in Morristown area is hiring a Senior Accountant open due to promotion. Highly visible technical accounting and financial reporting opportunity. 3+ years of public accounting experience. CPA preferred.

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $/yr

Additional compensation types:
Annual Bonus

• Conduct research and analysis of complex technical accounting and financial reporting issues
• Present critical issues and their proposed resolution to leadership and external auditors
• Continually assess the impact of accounting pronouncements on the business
• Partner with the business and align with corporate in support of the month-end close and related management reporting
• Evaluate derivatives and hedge accounting treatment utilized in contracts
• Ensure corporate accounting policies are in accordance with SEC and GAAP requirements by remaining up-to-date on new and proposed accounting pronouncements
• Assist with prep and review of SEC filings
• Provide necessary documentation to the external auditors
• Work on special projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of Public Accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements
• Excellent written and communication skills
