We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
FinancialReporting and General Ledger Maintenance
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and reconcile discrepancies, including following up with vendors or customers as needed.
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile various accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Provide variance analyses and support for forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
- Support internal and external audit processes, including preparing required documentation.
- Gather data for tax filings and provide support for tax-related inquiries.
- Assist in preparing sales tax and other regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain financial data integrity and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is a must.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This role may involve hybrid or in-office work, depending on company policies.
Some overtime may be required during peak periods such as month-end close or audits.
Salary range: 60k - 80k
