SAP Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) has sat at the heart of the SAP utilities landscape for decades. It runs payments, deposits, budget billing and installment plans, dunning, disconnection, collections, refunds and write-offs, and it posts the result to the general ledger. It is a core component of SAP IS-U and of SAP S/4

HANA Utilities, and increasingly it works alongside SAP Convergent Invoicing and SAP BRIM for new energy services. As utilities move from SAP ECC to SAP S/4

HANA, the FI-CA design decisions are among the most consequential in the program. Accenture has been a market leader in the SAP BRIM space since 2016, with a global BRIM Center of Excellence. You are a confident leader with deep contract accounting expertise who understands that, for a utility, FI-CA is where regulation, customer protection and finance meet. You know how to design payment, collections and disconnection processes that protect cash flow while treating vulnerable customers fairly, and you know how to carry decades of FI-CA history safely into SAP S/4

HANA. You translate client goals into clear, actionable designs that Finance, Customer Operations and Technology can all get behind. The more complex the regulatory and customer landscape, the more excited you are about leading the charge to solve it.

The Work:

Team with clients on their SAP customer accounting and utilities transformation programs through your combined SAP FI-CA expertise and functional process knowledge, which includes your ability to:

Engage with client leaders across Finance, Customer Operations, Billing & Collections, Credit & Risk and Regulatory Affairs on the challenges shaping receivables, cash and customer accounts in utilities, and on the value of SAP FI-CA and the wider SAP utilities and BRIM portfolio (current and future)
Lead the design of FI-CA for utilities, including business partner and contract account models, payment processing and clearing, security deposits, budget billing and instalment plans, refunds and final bills, and posting to the…
