Our Main Shelter is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year with professionals who truly care about the well‑being of our guests. With forty years of success under our belt, we know well that the most important skill our staff members possess is a passion for our mission.

Our Residential Support Staff work in our Main Shelter alongside with Case Management to understand the individual needs and services for shelter clients to best facilitate their success in our programs, as well as to assist in the safe and effective operation of our Shelter facilities. The full‑time, onsite Administrative RSS role will support administrative operations of our residential shelter Monday – Friday from 9am‑5pm.

Clean driving record is required as this position will be operating agency owned vehicles. $17/hr.

Ideal candidates will be customer service focused and supportive of the success of the full team in our efforts to improve the lives of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Administrative support including interaction with donors and tracking of in‑kind gifts, materials inventory, van scheduling, data entry and basic office support tasks to support agency operations.
  • Assisting volunteers and visitors
  • Operating as the front desk first point of contact for visitors and callers – Contact of emergency services if needed.
  • RSS Shift coverage including van transport, and participation in regular on‑call schedule.
  • Support Case Management during contraband searches.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing
  • Facilitate and record medication outtake per agency policy.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy living environment for guests through education, guidance, supervision and personal action.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma; advanced education in a related field is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of and demonstrated experience with administrative functions and Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
  • Good oral, written and basic computer/technology skills;
    Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license are required; position is subject to fingerprinting
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and reliable transportation are required during the scheduled hours for this position.
  • Must meet basic physical requirements as noted in full job description
  • Mental Health Care and/or Administrative experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a shared living environment is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule is a plus.

Full time permanent staff of Homeless Solutions are eligible to enroll in company sponsored medical
