Site Civil Engineer; EIT

Looking for a talented Site Civil Engineer to join a growing New Jersey based engineering team and play a key role in shaping the future of the land development practice.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals to create innovative site designs, detailed engineering plans, and technical reports that bring our clients’ visions to life. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated to tackle challenges, and has a strong grasp of site design and regulatory requirements.

• Work independently with a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans, reports and specifications for a multitude of land development projects
• Assist with civil engineering for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy and industrial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design, and site layout
• Preparation and/or reviewing of design criteria, drawings and specifications
• Preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentation
• Assist with the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents
• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues
• Technical and design report writing

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study required, Master’s degree a plus (may substitute for 1 year of experience)
• 2-5+ years of professional site/civil design engineering experience required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, TR-55 and Rational Method for drainage design (i.e., Hydro
  
  CAD, and Storm
  
  CAD) required
• EIT Certification
• Solid understanding of the typical land entitlement process in New Jersey including permitting at the local and state level preferred
