Entry‑Level Transportation/Rail Engineering Professional – Jacobs

Join our Transportation team in Morristown, NJ. This entry‑level position allows you to work on a variety of rail and transit projects, from planning and design to execution of infrastructure such as stations, depots, and alignments.

$66,100 – $95,000 per year

• Assist senior civil/rail engineers in planning, design, and execution of rail infrastructure projects.
• Support multidisciplinary teams on rail stations and transportation structure construction projects.
• Maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of engineering work, progressing from basic design tasks to more complex assignments.
• Manage time and responsibilities effectively while collaborating with the technical team to deliver successful project outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Coursework related to transportation.
• Previous design internship experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge and experience with CADD/Design software (Microstation/Inroads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D).
• Ability to utilize design manuals as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States without needing visa sponsorship now or in the future.
