Senior Traffic Engineer

Job Summary

Senior Traffic Engineer – Jacobs, Northeast transportation group.

We are looking for a collaborative engineer to lead traffic studies, analyses, and traffic signal, signing, and marking designs. You'll develop plans, specifications, estimates, and promote expansion of our portfolio with public agency clients.

• Lead development of traffic studies, signal design, plans, specifications and estimates for public agency clients.
• Conduct traffic analysis and design traffic signal, signing, and marking solutions.
• Collaborate with sales team to expand portfolio of projects.
• Build and mentor growing team of traffic engineering professionals across the northeast.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability to obtain one.
• Experience leading traffic studies and signal design for public agency clients.
• Knowledge of Federal standards and requirements.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits.
• Must be resourceful, curious, and self-directed.

• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Certification.
• Project management and leadership experience.
• Experience with Synchro, VISSIM, and related software.
