This role is part of the Structured Cabling Designer team that helps clients innovate and grow by designing, engineering, and executing state‑of‑the‑art facilities. The position is open at locations across the United States, though candidates near a Jacobs U.S. based office are preferred when possible.

We are looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to lead and support our Built Environment team.

As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll grow your skills and join a collaborative team that provides award‑winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design‑build project delivery. You’ll develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs to consider existing conditions and other disciplines. You’ll convey structural requirements to the construction team through traditional 2‑D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3‑D Revit models.

You’ll also have the chance to provide leadership for a small project with a team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and building and maintaining team morale. • High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
• At least 1 year of Revit
• At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience

• At least 2 years of Revit experience
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures
• Experience leading a team of Designers
• Experience with healthcare / institutional / commercial buildings
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam
