Government Affairs Senior Coordinator at Perrigo Company plc

This position collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to execute advocacy initiatives, monitor policy developments, and contribute to Perrigo’s public affairs and regulatory engagement efforts.
Scope of the Role- Policy Monitoring & Analysis – Track and analyze legislative, regulatory and political developments across key markets. Prepare briefings and strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Build relationships with government officials, regulators, trade associations, NGOs and other external stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, events, and communications to advance Perrigo’s policy objectives.
- Advocacy Support – Assist in developing and executing advocacy campaigns, including drafting policy materials, coordinating lobbying activities, and supporting industry coalitions and public forums.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with legal, compliance, communications and commercial teams to ensure alignment on policy positions and messaging.
- Compliance & Reporting – Maintain accurate records of government affairs activities, including lobbying disclosures and regulatory filings. Ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal standards.
- Project Management – Lead and support key projects related to public policy, market access and corporate reputation. Manage timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications.
- Support Crisis & Issues Management – Contribute to the development of response strategies for emerging policy challenges, regulatory inquiries and reputational risks.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, law, international relations or related field. Advanced degree (Master’s, JD) is a plus.
- Experience – 7–10 years in government affairs, public policy or regulatory affairs, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industries. Experience with government or regulatory agencies is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of political and regulatory processes at national and international levels.
- Experience managing projects in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
- Familiarity with lobbying and compliance regulations.
