Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Identifies cases through predetermined filters and performs case reviews
• Conducts initial review of cases to determine appropriateness for Committee review
• Selects and assigns cases to peers for review in consultation with Committee Chair(s)
• Performs clinical data abstraction and analysis for the Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Surgery Quality & Performance Improvement Programs;
  Provides clinical support to the programs
• Establish and maintain a functional system of collaboration for programmatic data and quality improvement needs
• Works closely with key personnel to ensure data accuracy and meaningful QI initiatives
• Maintains collaborative working relationship with Medical Director(s) and key personnel to meet program goals
• Attends Committee meetings and records minutes and discussion points on case presentations;
  Generates correspondence to surgeons whose cases were reviewed to request additional information
• Tracks attendance and is responsible for meeting related correspondence (reminders, meeting invitations, etc.)
• Maintains Committee rosters, attendance, and case volume logs
• Provides dedicated support for Surgical PI and EGS-specific quality improvement activities
• Assists in the administrative functions of the EGS Program
