* * Growing collection law firm located in historic Morristown, New Jersey looking for experienced collection attorney to join our practice. Salary negotiable or to commensurate with experience.
* * Job Description (includes but not limited to the following):
*
* * Initial Case Intake & Evaluation of delinquencies
*
* * Negotiate & Monitor Payment Plans
*
* * Direct preparation & approval of pleadings & correspondence
*
* * Evaluate Post-Judgment Collection options including garnishments, interrogatories, stipulations & foreclosures.
*
* * Prepare & monitor all post-judgment collection efforts
*
* * Prepare for & conduct returns, hearings & trials
*
* * Monitor & evaluate bankruptcies
*
* * Respond to client inquiries regarding status of pending matters
*
* * Maintain & review status reports
*
* * Communicate & update Out of State firms
*
* * Meet with clients as necessary
*
* * Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
*
* * Negotiate settlements
*
* * Handle Disputes.
*
* * Appearance & Trial of associated matters
* * Requirements :
*
* * Licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey. NY not required but a plus.
*
* * 3-5 years of experience as a Collection Attorney.
*
* * Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills
*
* * Ability to exercise independent judgment & discretion
*
* * Excellent oral & written communication skills
*
* * High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact & diplomacy.

* * Continues attention to detail
*
* * Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
*
* * HIPAA Compliance
*
* * FDCPA Compliance
*
* * CFPB Compliance
*
* * Student Loan Collection Experience, a plus
*
* * Collection Master (CLS) experience, a plus

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
