Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position with night shift hours and Epic EMR experience required.

• Work in an ICU within a medical telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric through geriatric critical care patients
• Scheduled 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with every third weekend required
• Floating as needed, including possible float to a nearby sister hospital
• One summer holiday shift required
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and deliver care across the continuum from pre- to post-operative phases
• Demonstrate competent clinical and emergency skills in the ICU environment
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation and follow all documentation guidelines
• Promote a team-oriented approach and positive patient and family experience
• Observe National Patient Safety Goals and proper patient identification protocols
• Scrub colors or dress code to be confirmed during onboarding
• Assignment limited to one calendar year; a break of 30-60 days required before returning for a new contract

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum one year of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
