Job Description:

Responsible for assisting doctors/nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks might include feeding and cleaning the patient or monitoring vital signs and health.

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKG’s, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients’ condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patient, compassionate nature.
• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses.
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems.
• EMT certification and/or nursing assistant certification.
