Atlantic Health is seeking a Diabetes Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join Atlantic Medical Group Diabetes and Endocrinology at Morristown, Morristown, New Jersey. The inpatient location is Morristown Medical Center. This role offers a great work/life balance, growth opportunities, and the opportunity to participate in the APP Council.
This role is ideal for an ambitious NP to work with a robust team in a growing practice. The Diabetes Nurse Practitioner will provide specialty-level diabetes care in outpatient and inpatient clinical settings. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in an acute care and/or physician practice setting with diabetes patients are strongly preferred. The candidate will have one year to acquire the Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an evolving Diabetes program with Atlantic Health System and receive mentorship from experienced providers in a collegial and collaborative environment.
$58.56/hr - $103.06/hr
Responsibilities- Provide specialty-level diabetes care in outpatient and inpatient clinical settings as part of the Diabetes and Endocrinology team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in the APP Council and contribute to program development and mentorship initiatives where applicable.
- Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an acute care and/or physician practice setting with diabetes patients preferred
- Must be a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or obtain certification within 1 year
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
