Job Description
The selected Nurse Practitioner will perform Stress Tests, Pharmacological and Exercise testing, including Nuclear. The Nurse Practitioner will also assist with general patient care in Non-Invasive Cardiology. This is an autonomous role working alongside the Cardiologists.
Principal Accountabilities- Provides new patient consultation and reviews health history
- Performs physical examinations and screening on the patients
- Provides after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
- Ensures patient records are maintained including test results, immunizations, condition changes
- Delivers quality, physician-level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics
- Recommends further treatment options or future appointments if required
- Performs diagnoses health problems and provides medications
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiology experience in an Acute Care setting is preferred
- Cardiac stress testing experience preferred
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
