Registered Nurse, Operating Room, Per Diem, MMC Ambulatory Sugery Center at Rockaway

Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to work per-diem at the MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockaway, NJ. Required to work variable shifts and hours, Monday–Friday, according to the surgical schedule.

The nurse will work with other healthcare professionals to support patients undergoing ambulatory surgery and related procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies, ortho sports and minor trauma, ortho hand, GYN, laparoscopic, plastics, urology, general, rectal, podiatry and pediatrics. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining records, consulting with healthcare providers, educating patients, and other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• ACLS, PALS and BLS certification

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (All ADN must complete BSN within five years of start date)
• Master's degree in nursing or related field
• 3+ years of experience in perioperative nursing in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center
• CNOR certification
• EPIC EMR
