Registered Nurse First Assist- Per Diem, Varies, Operating Room, Hackettstown Medical

JOB DESCRIPTION

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse First Assist for the Operating Room at Hackettstown Medical Center. Hours vary. Call on weekends as required.

• Support physicians in various operative procedures including but not limited to general, vascular and plastic/cosmetic procedures.
• Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health‑care team with a focus on promoting evidence‑based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
• Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

• Graduate from an accredited RNFA program required.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

• Valid New Jersey Nursing License required.
• BLS.
• ACLS.

• 3 years current OR experience.
• Experience in general, orthopaedic, ENT, podiatry, urology and plastics strongly preferred.
