American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring a NJ or compact license and prior high-risk pregnancy experience in a large hospital setting.
Details- Work in the Delivery Room unit of a large hospital facility
- High-risk labor and delivery patient population with high patient census
- 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p, three days per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- May float to a sister hospital nearby
- Uses Epic for charting
- Active NJ or compact RN license
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies in a large hospital facility required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Provide direct patient care to laboring and delivering patients, including assessment, monitoring, and emergency response
- Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation of nursing care
- Support pre-operative and postoperative assessment and patient education for surgical patients
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and proper patient identification procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Local candidates accepted
- Travelers may extend on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning
