American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NJ or compact RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.

• Delivery Room unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour AM shifts, 7a-7p, three days per week
• 36 hours per week
• Must be open to float, including to a sister hospital nearby
• On-call requirements apply
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics
• Familiarity with Pre Admission Testing (PAT) processes

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all stages of growth and development
• Provide competent clinical care and support emergency procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation, including patient education
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative education
• Support timely completion of pre-admission testing and evaluate orders for appropriateness
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may extend assignments up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break
