American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical Step-Down unit requiring at least 1 year of intermediate care experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

• Medical Step-Down unit in a hospital setting
• PM shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week over 3 days
• Works every 3rd weekend
• Floating as needed, including to a sister hospital nearby
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active NJ or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of Intermediate Care/Step-Down experience as an RN
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent communication and computer skills

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team through a Shared Governance model to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care

• One summer holiday coverage required
• Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year before requiring a break before starting a new assignment
