American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring NJ or compact licensure and prior OR experience.

• Operating Room setting within a hospital
• AM shift schedule, 11a-12a, 3 days per week
• 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities required
• Float required to sister hospital as needed
• EPIC EMR used for charting

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum one year of OR nursing experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program preferred
• Strong assessment and surgical patient care skills across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric

• Provide perioperative nursing care including pre-operative and post-operative assessment and patient education
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) order review and completion as applicable
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to prioritize patient care based on condition and need
• Local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
