Responsible for pre and post-operative care coordination for Atrial Fibrillation Center patients

• Procedure scheduling:
  Manage the logistical aspects of scheduling procedures for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Center, mainly catheter ablation and left atrial appendage closure procedures. This involves coordinating with various departments and communicating schedules to patients and their families.
• Patient assessment and preparation:
  Coordinate pre-operative testing and review results to ensure patients are adequately prepared for their procedures. This includes evaluating patient history and tests to ascertain readiness and identify any potential concerns.
• Patient education and support:
  Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding the procedure process, pre-procedure preparations, and post-procedure care. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Follow-up care coordination:
  Oversee the post-procedure follow-up process, including scheduling appointments, monitoring recovery, and ensuring adherence to post-procedure guidelines. Address any complications or concerns that may arise during recovery and elevate issues to EP provider when appropriate.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration:
  Work closely with EP physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Acute care experience preferred
• Cardiac experience required
