American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and NJ or compact RN licensure.

• Hospital emergency department setting caring for pediatric through geriatric patients
• PM shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
• Nurses should be comfortable managing patient loads of up to 7 patients
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required, including to a nearby sister hospital
• Epic EMR used for charting

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required for pediatric ER patients
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of Critical Care or Cardiac experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
  Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred

• Perform comprehensive, systematic patient assessments across all age groups
• Deliver competent clinical care using emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation including patient education and progress notes
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and use two patient identifiers for safety
• Utilize safe patient transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break
