RN - IV​/Infusion

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Vascular Access (Day Shift) in Morristown, New Jersey.

This is a 13-week contract position.

This position offers a Day Shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The PICC-Certified Vascular Access Nurse specializes in vascular access device assessment, insertion, and maintenance. The nurse will provide consultation and direct patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and minimize complications. This role involves inserting PICC lines, midline catheters, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs while ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards.

• Assess patients and recommend appropriate vascular access devices.
• Insert PICC lines, midline catheters, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs.
• Utilize ultrasound and ECG tip confirmation technology during catheter placement.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot vascular access devices.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on vascular access care and best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams regarding vascular access needs.
• Document assessments, procedures, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce catheter-related complications and CLABSI rates.

• Minimum of 5 years of PICC line insertion experience.
• Demonstrated competency in PICC insertion and ultrasound-guided vascular access.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification.
• PICC certification is required; VA-BC or CRNI certification is preferred.
