About The JobThe National Account Manager is responsible for building brand equity, sales, and profits for key strategic brands across multiple categories role requires achieving or exceeding sales goals through a comprehensive vertical business management approach owning the process from top to bottom.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and achieve new item distribution, merchandising, and promotional objectives.
- Provide analytical support for assigned brands utilizing account‑level, national‑level, panel, and consumer insight data.
- Build brand equity and increase sales volume of assigned brands.
- Build strong customer relationships and drive partnership.
- Achieve assigned sales quotas.
- Manage sales forecast and ensure accuracy for production planning.
- Manage customer level P&L.
- Manage merchandising objectives through proper planogram placement.
- Allocate and invest the assigned special events budget in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain accuracy and check special event spending and redemption evaluation on a monthly basis.
- Create, manage, and update custom reports as needed.
- Authorize and manage damages, return goods, and assist in deduction management in accordance with company policy.
- Comply with all company policies to maximize profits from sales.
- Stay alert to competitive products and merchandising practices and inform management.
- Prepare bi‑monthly sales reports and expense reports as required.
- Prepare and submit any special reports, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions as requested by management.
- Provide administrative support as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required, with a focus in business preferred.
- 3+ years of proven sales experience in a related position with direct account responsibility. National Account Experience required;
Target experience preferred. - 3+ years of experience utilizing Nielsen or IRI syndicated data.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to analyze several sources of data to develop actionable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft business software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to travel and have overnight stays occasionally.
