Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and certified Group Fitness Instructor to lead a variety of fitness classes. The ideal candidate is experienced in delivering high-quality, motivating classes that cater to a diverse range of fitness levels and goals, while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct safe, engaging, and effective group fitness classes including:
- Pilates Reformer sessions
- Group Strength Training
- Strength and Conditioning
- Relaxation/Stretching and Recovery
- Yoga
- Adapt instruction to accommodate participants of all fitness levels, ensuring proper technique and form.
- Provide clear instruction and motivational coaching to help clients meet their fitness goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
- Monitor participant progress and offer feedback and modifications as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is set up safely and used properly during classes.
- Collaborate with the fitness team to develop new programs and contribute to overall member satisfaction.
- Uphold all safety, health, and facility policies and procedures.
- Current certification in Pilates Reformer instruction from a recognized program (e.g., Balanced Body, Stott, BASI, etc).
- Certification in Group Fitness Instruction (ACE, AFAA, NASM, or equivalent).
- Experience in leading strength-based and conditioning group classes.
- Training or experience in relaxation, stretch, or recovery‑based fitness (such as yoga, guided stretching, breathwork, etc.) is highly desirable.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive, motivating, and supportive class environment.
- Background in personal training or kinesiology.
- Knowledge of injury prevention and post‑rehabilitation fitness.
- Experience working in a fitness club, studio, or wellness center.
- Ability to tailor classes for special populations or modify for injuries.
Flexible hours, with availability for early morning, evening, and/or weekend classes preferred.
