Morris County’s Office of Information Technology is seeking a Records Support Technician
1. This position
Performs varied clerical work involving the processing and filing of records for storage, as well as processing document and physical hardware destruction, based on procedural guidelines; does other duties as required. This position resides within the Office of Information Technology.
- Responsible for the on demand filing/retrieving of County documents, and destruction processing of documents and physical equipment, on behalf of various internal agencies.
- This includes usage of and becoming an expert with County 3rd party vendor website and State website.
- Will work with internal agencies to understand their records management needs and provide guidance as applicable.
- Will work with 3rd party vendor to maintain/establish shredding schedules for internal agencies.
Able to work 24 hours a week on a daily set schedule (to be worked out with manager). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Comfortable with learning and using on-line applications. Must be able to lift boxes up to 30 pounds. Ability to work effectively with associates, superior officials, and members of the public concerned with the work of the unit.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication.
