Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) – Needed in Morris County
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare (NPBHC) is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) to provide in‑home and center‑based therapeutic services to youth with mental health disorders in Northern New Jersey. The position offers flexible scheduling for 6–10 hours per week, primarily after‑school from 12 noon to 8 p.m., with weekend flexibility a plus.
CompensationHourly rate: $45.00 – $75.00 (actual pay based on experience and qualifications). Additional benefits are listed below.
Responsibilities- Provide individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions for youth ages 3–20.
- Conduct bio‑psycho‑social assessments.
- Teach coping, social skills, anger management, and risk‑behavior reduction (e.g., self‑injurious behavior, physical aggression).
- Support youth and caretaker decision‑making to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals.
- Complete all required documentation—intake forms, treatment plans, DAP notes—within designated time frames.
- Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.
- Remain open to training for Bio‑Psycho‑Social assessments if not already certified.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related field (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT).
- Clinical mental health trauma counseling training.
- Training or willingness to complete crisis intervention training.
- Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
- Experience in treatment planning, goal setting, progress notes, and initial assessments.
- Proficiency in evidence‑based approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response.
- Ability to use DSM‑V for assessment and diagnosis.
- Minimum 6–10 hours per week during after‑school hours (12 noon–8 p.m.), with weekend flexibility a plus.
- Experience with positive behavior supports.
- Prior work with children ages 3–20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.
- Successful criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
- Resume and copies of master’s degree and New Jersey license or certification.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
