Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting

• Direct experience caring for Cardiac Surgery patients

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)

• Active New Jersey RN License

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required

• CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification strongly preferred

• Strong communication and computer skills
CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for CVICU patients using the nursing process

• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based clinical support in a critical care environment

• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, involvement, dignity, and excellence in all aspects of nursing care

• Provide safe, high-quality care to patients and their families in the Cardiovascular ICU

• Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the healthcare team
