Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring travel experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings and an active NJ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities

• Work in a large hospital Labor & Delivery unit

• Care for high-risk pregnancy patients

• Night shift schedule from 7p to 7a, three 12-hour shifts per week

• Uses Epic EMR system

• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

• Perform comprehensive assessments and provide direct patient care for laboring patients

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Epic

• Deliver patient education before and after procedures, including surgical and anesthesia-related care

• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and proper patient identification protocols

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on patient- and family-centered care

• Follow proper safety, emergency equipment, and body mechanics procedures
Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Previous travel nursing experience in Labor & Delivery with high-risk pregnancies required

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
