Salary Range: $62,044 - $102,371
Description of WorkThis is a Charge/Float Registered Nurse position and will primarily provide staffing coverage based on the need throughout Bertie, Craven, Hyde Pasquotank, Roanoke River, and Tyrrell Prison Work Farm facilities. The Float Nurse provides professional nursing in the care, treatment, observation, and counsel of offenders in accordance with standard nursing practice and theory, agency regulations, physicians’ orders, and instructions from higher-level nursing staff.

- facilitating mental and dental health care
- preparing medication for administration and administering medications
- monitoring for communicable diseases
- conducting Chronic Disease Clinics

- delegating to or supervising other personnel in implementing the treatment regimen
- supervising subordinate staff
This is a floating position and will provide staffing coverage based on the need throughout facilities.
