Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Forklift Technicians troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, perform repairs and scheduled maintenance based on customer needs, and keep customers satisfied with timely, polite, and professional service. Tasks vary daily and may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities include completing full inspections, identifying and fixing problems or recommending repairs, and completing necessary paperwork.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic inspections and obtain input from customers.
- Perform repairs or provide recommendations using appropriate tools and PPE.
- Maintain a clean work area and return it to pre‑repair or better condition.
- Keep detailed working records of time, parts, supplies, and purchases.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles; notify management of needed repairs or replacements.
- Participate in job‑related training and maintain licenses and certifications.
- Represent Bailey professionally, wearing the uniform and keeping vehicle and work areas clean.
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education, Training, Experience- Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Safe work habits.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- Ability to work with minimal or no supervision in the field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift certification.
- Steel‑toed, non‑slip work boots (reimbursed by Bailey).
- Leather and rubber gloves (provided by Bailey).
- Safety glasses (provided by Bailey).
- Hearing protection (provided by Bailey).
- Safety vest (provided by Bailey).
