Cardiac Rehab​/Pulmonary Rehab Respiratory Therapist

Overview

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is looking for a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Clinician to join our team. Work alongside a Medical Director and Clinical Rehab Director to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care and grow our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab program.

• Coordinate all aspects of the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab program
• Provide direct patient care, including exercise prescription and education
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
• Lead program development, documentation, regulatory compliance and outcome tracking initiatives

This is a Part-Time position (FT available). Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem with day and evening availability. Consider applying to discuss alignment with your availability.

Compensation: Negotiable. An offer of employment may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skill, internal equity, and market data.

Education Requirements

• Physical Therapist:
  Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• Exercise Physiologist:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology with a focus on Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
• Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist:
  Associate Degree in Nursing or Respiratory Care from accredited schools

Education Desired

• Exercise Physiologist:
  Master’s degree in Exercise Science
• All clinicians:
  Advanced training in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation preferred

Experience Requirements

• Three years of experience providing patient care in cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation or related fields

Experience Desired

• Experience performing patient assessments, interventions, education, documentation, reporting and communications specific to Cardiac and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation
• Use of EHR; telemetry experience

License and Certification Requirements

• Current Vermont licensure without stipulations (for Physical Therapist, Registered Nurse, and Respiratory Therapist)
• Current BLS & ACLS Certifications, or certifications acquired within 6 months of hire

Certification Desired

• Certification as a Clinical Exercise Specialist (ACSM)
• Certification in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation from AACVPR

Skill Requirements

• Independently perform a comprehensive assessment of the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patient
• Supervise telemetry-monitored exercise for 4-5 individuals, progress exercise programs, train patients in equipment use, and document sessions with vital signs and telemetry interpretation
• Work with the multidisciplinary team in accordance with AACVPR guidelines

Skill Desires

• Ability to establish and modify exercise prescriptions based on test results, medications, comorbidities, and patient response
