Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep
Overview
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Ensures that the Deli Department is kept clean and sanitized at all times. Manages all budgeting and financial aspects of the department. Oversees clerks within the department and monitors the proper merchandising, rotations and inventory levels of product to promote optimal opportunity for sales.
Responsibilities- Manage the Deli Operation of the retail unit, including associate scheduling, training and other administrative duties.
- Responsible for achieving all budgeted financial figures for the department as stipulated in the store profit plan (e.g., budgeted sales, gross profit and shrink levels).
- Responsible for all merchandising of Deli foods (inventory levels, shelf allotment, displays and sale items).
- Prepare in-store made Prepared Food programs and Roaster Chicken program items.
- Order and inventory control of deli products (product levels, rotation, codes and damages).
- Ensure proper handling and merchandising of all deli products according to company policy.
- Display and communicate a complete knowledge of all deli products to customers.
- Provide high levels of customer courtesy and service at all times; greet and thank customers, handle requests and fulfill special orders accurately and efficiently (e.g., deli meat platters, vegetable platters).
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
- Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all corporate and state sanitation policies and procedures are followed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic literacy and basic computer skills.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
Physical Requirements
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exposure to hot environment (occasional 1-3 hours), cold environment (occasional 1-3 hours), standing (5-8 hours), walking (5-8 hours), bending, twisting, pivoting (3-5 hours), squatting/kneeling (1-3 hours), lifting up to 25 lbs (3-5 hours) and up to 50 lbs (1-3 hours). - Equipment used includes register, phone, computer, scales, knives, slicers, and other standard deli equipment as listed; compliance with safety policies.
