Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is looking for a World‑Wide Infrastructure Engineer to lead facility infrastructure planning and readiness across our global server manufacturing footprint. In this role, you will be the pivot point between global demand and physical factory execution. You will ensure our sites (Mexico, US, Budapest, etc.) have the necessary power, cooling, and floor capacity to support high-volume production and cutting‑edge technologies like Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) and AI‑optimized server portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Capacity Strategy:
Lead WW production infrastructure capacity planning and modeling to ensure global factories meet aggressive production forecasts and future growth. - Technical Standards:
Develop and maintain global infrastructure standards for ISG factories, focusing on power distribution, thermal management, and DLC platforms. - Strategic Growth:
Support RFP and RFQ responses by providing data‑backed capacity plans to ensure Lenovo can win and execute new business opportunities. - Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Partner with manufacturing engineering, facilities, and global operations to design layouts for new lines and optimize existing ones. - Project Readiness:
Drive end‑to‑end (E2E) readiness assessments for infrastructure upgrades, ensuring all projects meet Lenovo's safety, environmental, and efficiency standards. - Performance Metrics:
Monitor and report on infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks and driving cost optimization through process improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing infrastructure, facility planning, or industrial engineering.
- Experience in the Server/Data Center industry is highly preferred; experience in the Automotive industry is also a strong fit given the complexity.
- Proven experience working with global teams (e.g., US, Mexico, EMEA) as an individual contributor.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI for data modeling and forecasting.
- Deep understanding of factory power requirements, cooling systems, and infrastructure "readiness" for complex electronics.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint for executive reporting and Business Analysis tools for capacity modeling.
- Ability to navigate a complex, multi‑time‑zone supply chain organization and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Hybrid (3 days at the Morrisville office, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Travel5% to 10% international travel to ISG manufacturing sites.
