Senior Analog Mixed-Signal IC Layout Engineer

Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Senior Analog Mixed‑Signal IC Layout Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Analog Mixed‑Signal IC Layout Engineer, you will be part of the Advanced Silicon Development supporting the Microsoft Silicon Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Remote or Raleigh, NC
• 18‑Month Contract

• Execute full‑custom IC layout for analog and mixed‑signal blocks including SERDES, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, and more.
• Collaborate closely with circuit designers to optimize layout for performance, power, and area.
• Conduct layout floor planning, block‑level routing, and macro‑level assembly.
• Perform physical verification using industry‑standard tools like Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in layout design.

• 4+ years of experience in custom/digital IP layout for analog mixed‑signal circuits.
• Proven track record of successful tapeouts in advanced FinFET CMOS nodes (2nm–5nm).
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre layout and verification tools.
• Strong understanding of analog layout techniques including matching and shielding.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
