  • Be challenged
  • Deliver work products that improve cycle time efficiency
  • Work with our AI project team
  • Work with a world class GaN MMIC design team
  • Be responsible for a project or projects related to supporting design of, or aspect(s) of the design flow of, a GaN MMIC Power Amplifier using AI or developing AI agent(s) that improve cycle time and efficiency of various design flow aspects employed by the MMIC design team. Specific project will be dependent on candidate’s experience level and current state of AI-driven design developments within MACOM and tailored with a focus towards something achievable that delivers business results at the culmination of the program.
Job Requirements:

Besides your technical skill set, it is very important to us that you bring the right attitude. You are highly motivated and result oriented. You are the one who makes it work and goes the extra mile. You have a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical problems. You are detail oriented. You are an entrepreneur who wants to work in a company that is going to develop challenging and innovative products.

You work well in a tight team atmosphere together with our MMIC design and AI project teams.

  • Degree or very near completion (BSc, MS, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering with RF experience or coursework and AI experience and coursework.
  • Proven experience and ability developing AI agents that reduce tasks that may take a designer a week to a couple weeks down to roughly a day. Examples – Agent that plots data and generates a datasheet for a product, or Agent that generates an output matching network topology to match a loadpull target to 50ohms over a specified frequency band.
  • Experience with millimeter wave power amplifier design and MMIC products is a plus
  • Experience (perhaps via coursework) in GaN power amplifier design is preferred.
  • Fluent with RF simulation tool ADS.
  • Some knowledge of high efficiency power amplifier architectures is a bonus.
  • Fluent in dBs, the Smith Chart, and matching an arbitrary impedance to 50ohms with reactive components.
  • Experience with EM simulation tools such as Momentum is a bonus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting partnerships.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office…
