Summary:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing a diverse caseload of employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies, and providing expert HR support across various functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, investigations, and policy interpretation, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload involving a wide range of employee relations matters, including complaints and grievances.
  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies and interventions.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, review relevant facts, and ensure timely and satisfactory resolutions without expanding the scope unnecessarily.
  • Document all case-related information accurately and immediately.
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure resolution effectiveness.
  • Analyze workforce data, identify trends, and ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and other legal requirements.
  • Provide support on special HR projects including Recruitment, Position Compensation Management, Benefits, Records Management, and HR Development.
  • Advise and counsel management and employees on employee relations issues, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Evaluate employee relations programs and recommend enhancements aligned with organizational goals.
  • Review and suggest updates to HR policies through the Policy Advisory Committee.
  • Coordinate Mediation/Arbitration services and assist in HR training and development initiatives.
  • Guide supervisors and managers in interpreting and applying HR policies and employment laws.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in Employee Relations
  • Associate's degree: Minimum of 6 years of experience
  • High School Diploma: Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • (In all cases, experience must include practical application of federal and state Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity laws)

  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulatory compliance
  • Experience developing and interpreting HR policies and procedures
