Description

This position is ideal for early-to-mid career lawyers to join the AMS Regional Legal Team as Counsel to serve as a strategic business partner providing support for a broad spectrum of commercial legal matters. Partnering with the broader Legal team and other cross-functional teams at Align, you'll provide legal advice to enable our business partners to operate in an effective and compliant manner.

This role is vital in shaping Align Technology's commercial agreements, marketing communications, and commercial programs.

• Negotiate, draft and review an extensive range of contracts for assigned business unit or area.
• Review marketing collateral, educational materials, and promotional materials for compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
• Counsel and advise on general corporate legal matters within assigned business unit or area.
• Ensure compliance with Align's contract management process and other company policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and assist in other legal matters as and when needed.

• Education:
  
  Top academic credentials from a leading U.S law school with a JD/Law degree and appropriate licensure to practice in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years of experience as a lawyer, preferably with legal experience in medical technologies, pharmaceuticals or other life science business at a law firm, in‑house, or combination of both.
• Experience with and strong working knowledge of applicable commercial legal principles and the ability to frame, draft, and negotiate agreements. Superior drafting skills are important to this role.
• Experience reviewing marketing collateral, pricing and promotional materials for compliance with antitrust, anti‑kickback and other applicable laws.

If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate's pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.

For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S.

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
