Overview
The Director of Global Brand is a strategic, forward-thinking brand leader responsible for shaping, evolving, and protecting the global brand narrative. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, data, and technology, guiding how the brand shows up across markets, channels, and customer experiences. The ideal candidate blends deep brand expertise with modern AI maturity, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate insights into impactful brand and campaign work.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong partnership across regional teams, product marketing, creative, communications, and sales organizations to ensure global brand consistency with local relevance.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy & Stewardship
- Architect, evolve, and scale the global brand strategy, including positioning, messaging frameworks, brand architecture, and identity systems.
- Maintain and grow brand equity while enabling flexibility for regional and market-specific needs.
- Lead ongoing development and governance of global brand guidelines, ensuring clarity, adoption, and consistency across the organization.
- Serve as a brand steward and thought leader, championing the brand narrative and elevating brand-driven thinking across the business.
- AI Fluency & Innovation
- Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate content creation, concept development, research, creative exploration, and workflow automation.
- Evaluate AI outputs critically, ensuring work meets brand standards and creative quality.
- Identify opportunities to responsibly integrate AI into brand processes, increasing speed-to-market and operational efficiency without compromising human creativity.
- Integrated Campaign Leadership
- Lead the development of integrated brand campaigns from strategy and creative briefing through execution and measurement.
- Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to deliver world-class work that ladders up to brand strategy and drives measurable impact.
- Ensure campaigns are globally scalable while allowing for localized adaptations.
- Inspire and challenge creative partners to deliver high-quality, breakthrough brand work without micromanagement.
- Data-Driven Brand Management
- Define and track key brand health and campaign performance metrics, using insights to continuously optimize brand activity.
- Build compelling, insight-led business cases for brand investments, demonstrating the relationship between brand building and commercial outcomes.
- Translate data into actionable strategies and effectively communicate insights to senior leadership.
- Global & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams across regions, products, sales, comms, and creative.
- Navigate diverse stakeholder groups to drive alignment and brand excellence across touchpoints.
- Foster collaboration across time zones, cultures, and working styles to deliver cohesive global brand experiences.
- Mentor and develop brand talent, reinforcing a culture of creativity, innovation, inclusivity, and accountability.
- Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, or integrated marketing leadership.
- Proven experience managing global brand programs or large-scale, multi-market campaigns.
- Deep understanding of generative AI tools and practical experience applying them to brand or creative workflows.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong budget acumen and ability to synthesize complex data for executive decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience partnering successfully with global and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with or leading creative agencies is a strong plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $160k - 200K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo's various benefits can be found on
