Content Marketing Manager - Full Time

Play Metrics is a fast growing B2B SaaS company revolutionizing the way youth sports organizations operate. Our industry‑leading platform is trusted by thousands of clubs, leagues, and governing bodies to manage operations, communication, scheduling, and player development, all in one place.

Play Metrics is looking for a creative and experienced Content Marketing Manager to craft multimedia content which gets noticed in a competitive space, drives results, and showcases our forward‑thinking approach to youth sports technology. This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, loves mixing strategy with hands‑on execution, and gets excited when their work makes a real impact. You’ll plan, produce, and measure content that helps people understand our products and brand differentiators – and actually care about them.

Turning complex product or technical information into clear, compelling, and persuasive content is at the heart of this role, so exceptional writing skills are non‑negotiable.

Note: This is a full‑time position, and we are looking for a local candidate to work in the office at our Morrisville, NC headquarters, currently hybrid work‑from‑home three days per week, but subject to the Company’s needs and policies in the future.

The Role

As our Content Marketing Manager, you’ll own content across channels, supporting growth marketing campaigns, sales enablement, product marketing, and customer engagement. This role offers variety, ownership, and the chance to help shape the future of youth sports technology alongside a collaborative, high‑energy team that balances big ideas with practical execution. It’s also your opportunity to define and grow a brand voice that’s confident, daring, and unafraid to stand out.

One

day you might be:
  • Digging into three years of membership fee data for a benchmarking report on youth hockey clubs nationwide.
  • Crafting a call script and email sequence for our sales team targeting youth football league administrators.
  • Interviewing customers for a compelling video case study.
  • Working with our CMO to bring another of his out‑of‑the‑box content ideas to life.
What You’ll Do Content Strategy & Planning
  • Build and maintain a content strategy and calendar that drives results, working closely with brand, growth, sales, product, and customer teams.
  • Generate fresh content ideas from customer insights, market trends, SEO research, competitive intel, and product knowledge.
  • Get to know our customers, their challenges, and what makes them tick through research and cross‑team collaboration.
Sales Enablement & Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales to create messaging, email campaigns, call scripts, presentations, and other tools that build buzz and drive revenue.
  • Translate data and product info into clear, actionable content for internal and external audiences.
  • Support Customer Success and Product teams with content that educates, informs, and highlights Play Metrics’ value.
Content Creation & Operations
  • Produce high‑quality content across formats: blog posts, ebooks, customer stories, videos, sales collateral, emails, and more.
  • Build and manage a reliable bench of outsourced content talent (freelancers and contractors), ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Oversee the content calendar, audit existing content, find gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Report on content performance, results, and effectiveness to the Director of Brand, with recommendations on adjusting strategy and deliverables.
What You Bring
  • 5‑7+ years of experience in content marketing or a closely related role.
  • B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally in a growth‑focused environment.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills—able to engage C‑level customer contacts and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Strong sales enablement experience creating messaging, campaigns, call scripts, and collateral that deliver results.
