Position Summary
Crouse Community Center is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our dedicated care team. This full-time salaried position requires weekend availability, with scheduled hours from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday (16 hours each day). The role offers Monday through Friday off. In this role, you’ll deliver the highest quality of care and services to our residents by safely administering medications and treatments, supervising CNAs, and supporting daily living activities.
You’ll help maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate environment that reflects our mission and values.
Medication Administration & Documentation
- Administer medications and treatments using the Six Rights of Medication Pass
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all medications
- Record refusals or missed doses per protocol
- Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information
- Count and verify narcotics with another Medication Care Nurse
Resident Care & Communication
- Monitor residents’ conditions and assess needs for optimal care
- Review and update the Daily Log to stay informed of resident status
- Report resident concerns to the Nurse Manager during medication rounds
- Promote the mission and values of Crouse Community Center in all interactions
Supervision & Compliance
- Oversee and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed
- Practice standard precautions for hygiene and infection control
- Ensure care aligns with facility policies and regulatory standards
