Regional Business Development Manager – Food & Beverage

Role Overview

As the Regional Business Development Manager, you will lead market penetration, build long‑term relationships with food processors, bottlers, breweries, dairies, and other relevant industries, and collaborate closely with our sales team to generate and close opportunities. Your deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and collaborative mindset will position Ferguson as the preferred partner for food & beverage customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets for sanitary process products across the region.
  • Identify, prioritize, and target key customers and market segments, including food processors, bottlers, breweries, and dairies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers, engineers, and end users to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, qualify opportunities, and close deals from initial contact through closure.
  • Deliver product presentations, technical seminars, and demonstrations that highlight the features, benefits, and applications of our product line.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and standards related to food safety and sanitation to position our products effectively.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market developments and provide actionable insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing focused on food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or sanitary process industries.
  • Proven track record achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive market.
  • Strong knowledge of food & beverage processing, packaging, and sanitation requirements, including steam, pumps, and engineered products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key decision makers.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.

Pay Range

$6,374.70 – $15,033.70 per month (salaried). This role is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan.
