Job Summary

Rx Data Entry Specialist
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM until 3:30 PM

Essential Functions of the Position
  • Receives case, opens case and disinfects case for production according to the documented procedure
  • Completely reads prescription and assigns proper case pan
  • Calls dentists’ office for missing information
  • Documents all materials received from dental office
  • Performs the scheduling function for each case according to the documented procedure
  • Enters information into Lab Trac software
  • Prints preference notes matching to each case and checks doctors preferences in profile
  • Moves case into production area
  • Disinfects work area according to the documented procedure
  • Wears proper personal protective equipment when performing work tasks that require them and follows safety guidelines
  • Acts as an active advocate to others in the lab regarding safety compliance
  • Helps create and maintain a positive atmosphere within the department
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Required
  • Pharmacy Technicians are encouraged to apply
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Entry Level; paid training will be provided
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used
  • Disinfectant process chemicals
  • Personal protective equipment as required
  • Office equipment
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions using both arms and hands grasping, gripping, pinching, lifting, pushing and carrying. Constantly lifting & carrying 0-10 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Repeated bending and kneeling
  • Vision capabilities:
    Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color
