Job SummaryThe (Bilingual) Japanese Product Planning Coordinator plays a crucial supporting role in TOTO’s Product Planning department, coordinating with TOTO Japan and TOTO USA teams. The role ensures smooth project life cycles, analyzes market and product data, and fosters collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional products to market.
Key Responsibilities- Product lifecycle support:
Assist in end‑to‑end management from concept through launch and potential discontinuation. - Project coordination:
Monitor and track timelines and deliverables across cross‑functional teams. - Strategic collaboration:
Facilitate communication between TOTO Japan and the U.S. to integrate market needs into product strategies. - Data analysis & reporting:
Conduct in‑depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, sales data, and product performance. - Tool utilization:
Use Microsoft Excel and Tableau to generate insights, prepare reports, and support strategic recommendations. - Market research:
Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning. - Team & product excellence:
Collaborate with the Product Planning team to ensure continuous delivery of high‑quality products. - Meeting participation:
Attend internal and cross‑departmental meetings, including occasional after‑hours sessions.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field. - Language proficiency:
Fluent in English and Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking). - Technical skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; experience with Tableau and strong analytical skills; SAP experience preferred. - Soft skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, strong organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and problem‑solving aptitude.
- Collaboration:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. - Travel:
Willingness to travel domestically 10‑20% of the time. - Office presence:
Minimum of three days per week in the office (9:00 AM‑6:00 PM).
