The Douglas County Solicitor General Office has an opening for an Assistant Solicitor-General. The attorney selected will be responsible for all aspects of prosecution of misdemeanor offenses in the Douglas County Judicial Circuit. We are seeking a self-starters who are experienced in criminal justice or those seeking experience in criminal justice. Successful applicants will be trained as necessary in the filing of accusations, arraignment, discovery, trial, and appeal.
Preferred Qualifications: Juris Doctorate Degree required, and Georgia Bar license required or law student eligible to practice under the 3rd Year Practice Act.
Specific License or Certification Required:
Must be registered as a member of the Georgia State Bar Association or 3rd Year Practice Act eligible. Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
