Repair and Tool Technician

Repair and Tool Technician role at The Home Depot
. This position involves evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. Technicians make equipment recommendations and ensure that units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and, in some cases, in repair centers.

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices.
• Provide equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
• In stores, assist Tool Rental customers by writing rental contracts and repair invoices, verifying tool operation, and demonstrating proper use when needed.
• Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• In non-store locations, repair units, test them for quality after repair, and clean them before returning to the originating store.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.

• Thorough knowledge of tools and equipment used in repair and maintenance.
• Ability to manage tool inventory and maintain records.
• Ability to work in a retail store environment (Tool Rental) and in repair center settings.
