Crisis Counselor
The District Attorney’s Office is currently accepting resumes/applications for a Victim Witness Advocate in the Bell-Forsyth Circuit. This position will work closely with victims of crime as the Early Notification Advocate handling First Appearance Hearings and Magistrate Court.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling or a related field and two years of experience working in criminal justice, social services, crisis intervention, or trauma and violence safety assessment and planning. Superior customer service skills, positive attitude, personal responsibility and a strong sense of responsibility to the community at large is preferred. All candidates are subject to a background check.
Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
